Eve Fontaine, Ph.D., PLLC
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in the testing and treatment of ADD/ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, OCD, and depression. I have extensive training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am energetic and take an active, skills-based approach in therapy to help my clients learn effective ways to reduce their stress/anxiety and improve their mood, behavior, organizational skills, time management, and planning skills. I also specialize in conducting comprehensive testing for ADD/ADHD and learning disabilities. Through the testing process, I help people to better understand their strengths and weaknesses and give them specific recommendations for intervention.
Since 2010, I have combined my love of sports and clinical expertise in my work with student-athletes. I am an independent contractor for the Duke University Athletics Program, providing testing (ADD/ADHD and Learning Disability), consultation, and treatment services (e.g., stress/anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD coaching).
I adhere to evidence-based practice and use testing and treatment approaches that are supported by research. When working with adolescents, college/graduate students, and professionals, I take an active, skills-based approach to therapy and ADHD coaching. This dynamic process incorporates an understanding of one's core values, goals, challenges, and problem-solving approaches. This information then guides me in developing a treatment plan that is tailored to each individual.
Outside of work, Dr. Fontaine enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She is an avid sports fan and loves the outdoors, photography, art, and music.
